3D Printing Lab in The Theresa and Edward O’Toole Library
On Monday, May 4 the first Saint Peter’s University 3D Printing workshop was held on the first floor of The Theresa and Edward O’Toole Library in the newly established 3D Printing Lab. This lab is jointly sponsored by the Department of Applied Science & Technology and The Theresa and Edward O’Toole Library. The main goal of the lab is to stimulate the ever so popular makerspace spirit among the campus community, to interweave art and science, and to assist interested faculty in incorporating this technology into their curriculum.
During the workshop, Librarian Hao Zeng and Dr. Wei-Dong Zhu, chair of the department of applied science and technology, introduced the 3D Makerbot printer and designing software package to the students. More sessions will be scheduled soon for those interested in trying out this newest technology at Saint Peter’s University. Visit the Library’s page for more information.
